Breaking the Stigma

Our interview with Helen Fishbun; CEO of CMHA-WW discussing the importance of mental health

THE MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS

Here at Exodus, we recognize the importance of mental well-being, and it is our goal to help where we are able. Mental illness affects all Canadians either directly or indirectly through that of a friend, peer, and family member. Each year, 1 out of 5 people in Canada will experience a mental health problem or illness. Additionally, 50% of people will have or have had a mental illness by the age of 40.

We feel strongly about this crisis because we ourselves have had our struggles with it.

While Exodus alone cannot solve the mental health crisis that impacts everybody worldwide (not just Canada of course!), we feel committed to making a change that will leave a positive impact on our society. As a way to show our support, Exodus donates $10 from every watch sale to the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW).

OUR COMMITMENT

Taking the necessary steps today will lead to a better future tomorrow. Partnering with the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW) will help create funding for programs and services that address the greatest mental health needs in our community.

In addition to donating to organizations such as the CMHA WW, the Exodus brand reflects its commitment to positive mental health through brand messaging and content. We wish to reinforce and create content that caters to positive mental health such as self-care strategies, improving routines, and informative blog posts.
